About HiddenBrowse
A publication that looks closely at what a web page is actually doing while you read it.
Why this website exists
Most of what a modern page loads stays invisible until it interrupts you. HiddenBrowse exists to describe that machinery in ordinary language, and to explain the browser-level tools that give a reader some say in it.
We are a consumer information website. We do not build, host, sell or support any browser extension ourselves.
The product category we cover
Our coverage focuses on ad-blocking and content-filtering browser extensions — add-ons that run inside a browser you already use, such as Chrome, Edge or Safari, and reduce many common advertising formats on supported sites. Total Adblock is the product featured on our homepage.
This is a category where honest expectation-setting matters. No extension removes every advertisement on every website. Results depend on a site's design, the browser and its version, and the settings each person chooses. We say so consistently, because a reader who installs something on the strength of an overstated promise is a reader we have failed.

Our editorial approach
Claims we will not make
No invented statistics, no fabricated user counts, no rankings we cannot substantiate, and no countdown timers or manufactured scarcity. If a figure is not something we can point to, it does not appear on the page.
How we frame products
Featured products are described in terms of what they are designed to do, with the caveats attached. We use words like “may” and “varies” when those are the honest words, even where a stronger one would convert better.
Advertising, disclosed up front
Our homepage article is a paid advertorial and is labelled as one at the very top of the page, above the header, before any content. Nothing about that arrangement is buried in a footnote.
Corrections
If something we publish is inaccurate or has gone out of date, write to us and we will review it. Pricing, availability and feature details change; we would rather fix a page than defend it.
Transparency about commercial relationships
HiddenBrowse is a commercially supported website. The homepage article is sponsored content, and the links to the featured product are affiliate links. If a reader obtains a product after following one of those links, this website may receive compensation from the advertiser or its affiliate network.
That compensation does not add anything to the price a reader pays, and it does not buy a guarantee of positive coverage — the caveats above sit on the same page as the promotion. Full details are set out in our Advertising Disclaimer.
Who we write for
Our audience is United States based and general-interest: readers who spend a few hours a day online, who are not systems administrators, and who want a straightforward explanation before installing anything. Content is written in US English and reflects US consumer-privacy expectations, including the rights described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not provide legal, financial, medical or professional technical advice, and nothing on this website should be treated as such.
